Schizanthus pinnatus is a colorful cool-weather flower also called butterfly flower or fringeflower. It is a genus of plants in the Solanaceae family. They are annual or biennial herbaceous plants. Schizanthus likes cool, sunny conditions and a rich, moist soil high in organic matter. Under warmer conditions, light shade is good.
