Osteospermum is a genus of flowering plant belonging to the Calenduleae, one of the smaller tribes of the sunflower and daisy family Asteraceae. They are also known as the daisybushes or African daisies. Osteospermums are most often grown as cool-season annuals and in will take a break from blooming during the hot summer until cool nights resume in fall. Ideally, osteospermum prefers full sun. The more sun you can give them, the better they will bloom. Aim for evenly moist, well-drained soils to see your osteospermum’s thrive.
