Begonia

Begonia is a genus of perennial flowering plants in the Begoniaceae family which includes more than 1,800 different plant species. Begonia’s are native to moist subtropical and tropical climates. The begonia is often grown for its large foliage, which can be coloured, patterned and sometimes have a stunning metallic sheen. Begonia’s naturally store moisture and need less frequent watering. Suited mainly for indoors they require warmth and humidity, fresh air, careful watering and consistent fertilization. Protect from late western sun. They are a spectacular indoor pot plant. Avoid wetting leaves when watering to minimize powdery mildew.
