Dichondra is a perennial ground cover plant that has an upright, creeping habit with circular leaves. It retains its bright green color in very temperatures and it quite hardy. When this ground cover becomes full, it appears as a dense carpet-like grass. Dichondra grows best in full sun to partial shade and the silver varieties tend to have a looser habit while Green types tend to have a dense growth habit. Once plants are established, a deep and infrequent watering is necessary.
